OrgSync

Welcome to the fourth week! This week we will be working with OrgSyn and becoming a little more comfortable with it and other forms of recruitment.

Please complete the following for this post by
AUGUST 1ST AT MIDNIGHT

·         Log in to OrgSync: Go to Login page on the Stout website, select Orgsync, login with your Stout user name and password
·         In the top right hand corner select the gear icon
·         Click on Manage Accout
·         Please upload a profile picture if you do not have one already
·         Scroll down to the ‘About Me’ box and fill it in with information about yourself so new members can learn more about you
·         Once completed, go to organizations tab at the top of the page and go to the RHA page.
·         Look and go through the tab on the left hand side (Events, Files, Forms, ETC)

Please post your answers to the following on the Blog
·         As an Exec Board, how are you going to use OrgSync?
·         How will you utilize OrgSync for RHA or NHRR as a whole (ie: are you going to put meeting minutes on it, what’s going to be on your calendar, what committee will you have, to do list, etc)?
·         How will you get memebers/ hall residents to add RHA as an organization on OrgSync?

·         What is your plan to encourage members to continue to utilize OrgSync after they join?

  1. 1.As and Exec Board I feel that OrgSync should be used as a tool to pass important information along to our members. I've really started to get familiar with Orgsync and it sounds like soon it will almost be exactly like facebook of sorts. Thats why I would like to see us use this tool alot more this year than we have in the past.

2.I feel like the more information we put on there for the representatives the better. During the school year it should be a one stop shop for RHA

3.Well we already have our OrgSync page connected with our new RHA Facebook Page so that will help up get people to join

    4. I think it is important to show them how this site can be helpful for our organization and teach them how we exactly want them to use it

  2. As an exec board we will posting a lot of information on OrgSync like any information anyone could ask for. To utilize OrgSync, the minutes will be posted on it, all reports will be collected via OrgSync, attendance will be taken using OrgSync, and all events will be recorded on the calender. To get residents to add RHA as an organization we will talk to our representatives. And as Carl stated we have it connected to our facebook page to help residents add RHA as an organization. I will make it a requirement to put the reports and other miscellaneous items on OrgSync to encourage members to use OrgSync.

  3. As an Exec Board I believe OrgSync is something that will come in very handy not only to us but to many others. We can use it as a tool to keep the University up to date on what's going on with our organization and other events that we maybe supporting or funding.
I have to agree with Carl the more information that RHA puts on our OrgSync the better and its always nice to know that you can count on one steady website to give you the correct information/details.
In order to get people connected to the RHA on OrgSync, I think its very important to talk to the residents and to have good strong relationships with them which will hopefully lead them to liking our facebook page and also getting connected to our RHA OrgSync page.
A good way to encourage members to stay connected with OrgSync is to show them the proper way to use it and how to get around on the site. I think it be a lot easier for the students/members to want to use it if they know exactly how to locate what they need to find instead of not knowing how to use it, struggling with it and getting frustrated because its harder then it seem to find your way around it (knowing from personal experience)
