Hola, everyone!!! Alicia Smithburg ~ future sophomore in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management ~ I was the RHA rep on the MC HEC last year and also a member of AHLA, which is an HRTM org that travels and does property tours of resorts 'n' such, which led me to a co-op in the Dells this summer at the Wilderness! Fun fact ~ I have been to 11 countries: Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, England, MERICA!! I am the Leadership and Development Coordinator and I plan things like the fall movie and do team builders during the weekly RHA meeting!! Because of my co-op, I will not be able to make the retreat that weekend, but if I were I would say to bond with my execs over scary movies and topperstix!! #classic A personal goal that I have for myself while working on the RHA exec board would be to give everyone a memorable year on RHA like my exec board gave me!
ReplyDeleteHey everyone,
ReplyDeleteI'm Deanna Kazy-Garey. I'm a junior in Packaging. I was an RHA rep for Fleming-Hovlid last semester. I share a birthday with Elvis Presley and I was almost name Priscilla after his daughter. I am the secretary for RHA and I prepare the minutes at every meeting and do other various tasks. At this summer retreat I would like to start planning for the events we have in early September because we do not have a lot of time to plan for them. My goal is to stay organized and on top of tasks while working on the exec board.
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteI'm Carl Malone. I'm a junior in Hotel Restaurant & Tourism Management. Last year I was the RHA rep for Red Cedar Hall. I am also a member of the Stout Swing Dance Club and the American Hotel & Lodging Association, I am also the Front Desk Supervisor of the Minneapolis Boulevard Hotel. A fun fact about me is that I met President Obama back in 2012 when he visited Honeywell. I am the RHA President, this means that I am in charge of organizing and running all of the meetings between both the Exec Board and RHA, on top of that it is my job to ensure that the other members of the Exec Board are on task and provide any help if needed. At the Retreat I hope to discuss some special projects that I would like to implement this year and gain feedback on that. One personal goal that I have for this year is to further improve my skills as a leader and connect with each member of RHA.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI'm Lucas Feldkamp and I'm going to be a junior in Applied Social Sciences, Anthropology/Sociology Concentration with Math and CS minors. On campus I have been involved in housing as AFM HEC Hall Chair 12-13, a Summer Conference Assistant both this and last summers, South Hall Resident Advisor 13-14, and a member of NRHH since Spring 2013. I am a member of the Honors College, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance, PONG, the Wisconsin Covenant Scholars, and SAAI.
For a fun fact, I wear sandals almost year round.
I am the National Communications Coordinator/Wisconsin Communications Coordinator. At RHA meetings I am the Parly Pro resource. I help to maintain and update the governing documents. I also network with other campuses and NCCs. Finally I represent Stout in boardroom at conferences and also put together delegations to attend the different conferences.
At retreat we should do competitive volleyball.
A personal goal that I have while working on the board is to fill every conference delegation so that residents can partake in the great experience and share their growth with others.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI am Mary Kate Mahmood and I will be a sophomore this upcoming fall!
I was planning on majoring in Psychology but soon realized that it wasn't the right fit for me. So I am now in the process of changing my major to Vocational Rehab.
Fun fact: My hair naturally changes colors depending on the season.
Being Vice President it is my job to keep the budget on track, run meeting when the President cant attend, also be a resource for fellow Exec board members and RHA Reps.
I am most looking forward to the summer retreat so I can get a feel for what other have in mind for this upcoming school year.
Personal goal: is to become a better and stronger leader
